Pre-Ballet
Age 3
Tuesdays 3:45-4:30
Dancers will learn the fundamental foot positions and french terminology of classical ballet while working on flexibility, direction following, coordination, and more! Dancers must be 3 years of age by 8/1/24. Dancers will participate in a Spring Showcase hosted by the non-profit performing company, Bayou Ballet.
Level 1
Ages 4
Wednesdays 3:45-4:30
Dancers will continue to learn ballet technique and terminology for footwork, arms, and directions. We will begin utilizing the ballet barre and understanding musicality. Dancers must be 4 years of age by 8/1/24. Dancers will participate in a Spring Showcase hosted by the non-profit performing company, Bayou Ballet.
Level 2
Ages 5
Wednesday 4:30-5:30
Tap (Optional)
Mondays 3:45-4:30
Level 2 dancers will begin working through a ballet class. Starting at the barre and working their way into the center and across the floor. We will begin focusing on turn out, muscle engagement, and coordinating the arms in basic movements. Level 2 dancers must be 5 years old by 8/1/24. Dancers will participate in a Spring Showcase hosted by the non-profit performing company, Bayou Ballet.
Dancers have the option of enrolling in Tap. Tap dance is a wonderful method for building ankle strength and musicality in a fun way! Tap Dancers will perform another piece in the Spring Showcase, costumes will be up to the parents to create/purchase based on theme.
Level 3
Age 6
Mondays 4:30-5:30
Tap (Optional)
Thursdays 3:45-4:30
Dancers will continue learning in the traditional ballet structure, beginning at barre, moving into the center, and moving across the floor at a diagonal. We will begin putting steps together into combinations. Dancers will start building skills learn movement patterns quickly. We will continue to focus on muscle engagement and lines for dancers. Level 3 dancers must be 6 years old by 8/1/24. Dancers will participate in the Spring Showcase hosted by the non-profit performing company, Bayou Ballet
Dancers have the option of enrolling in Tap. Tap will be a combined class with Level 4. Dancers will learn complex steps and rhythms to build ankle strength and musicality. Tap Dancers will perform another piece in the Spring Showcase, costumes will be up to the parents to create/purchase based on theme.
Level 4
Ages 7-9
Tuesdays and Thursday 4:30-5:30

Thursdays 3:34-4:30
Dancers will continue through a full ballet classes, learning to fulling integrate footwork, arms, head, and directions into their dancing. Combinations will include minute footwork and turns. Level 4 dancers must be 7 years old by 8/1/24. Dancers will participate in the Spring Showcase hosted by the non-profit performing company, Bayou Ballet.
Dancers have the option of enrolling in Tap. Tap will be a combined class with Level 3. Dancers will learn complex steps and rhythms to build ankle strength and musicality. Tap Dancers will perform another piece in the Spring Showcase, costumes will be up to the parents to create/purchase based on theme.
Level 5 - Bayou Ballet
Ages 10+
Mondays - Wednesdays
will include some Thursdays/Saturdays
Level 5 dancers will Dance Monday - Wednesday in technique classes. Classes will focus on ballet technique, pointe technique, modern, and choreographic techniques. One Thursday a month, dancers will have a semi-private Strength training session with Miss. Katelyn. Dancers will not pay a registration fee to the studio. Instead they will pay a membership fee to become company dancer of Bayou Ballet, our performing non-profit. Bayou Ballet will rehears on the occasional Saturday. Bayou Ballet will perform in Elementary Schools and host the Spring Showcase. Dancers will be required to participate in 2 fundraisers during the year.
